Volunteering at the Herkimer ARC
The Herkimer ARC is always looking for caring, dynamic individuals who want to make a difference by enriching lives - including their own! We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities in our Service Programs, Homes and Community Based Services, Spirituality Services, Vocational Workshop, and Employment Services.
We also have opportunities assisting at special event fundraisers or in our administrative areas with general clerical work. Our services are provided seven days a week in communities throughout Herkimer County. Even if you only have a few hours a week or half-day per month, your contributions will be meaningful and welcomed!
Student Internship & Practicum Opportunities
If your degree requires an internship (paid or unpaid), practicum, or volunteer experience, we will try to accommodate your needs. Many positions we have may correspond with career aspirations and educational requirements and goals. In your field is Health Services, Human Services, Business Management, Office Management, Events Management, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Therapeutic Recreation, or Information Technology, we may be able to assist you.
- To provide a safe environment for the individuals we provide services for, staff, and other volunteers as well as to satisfy state regulations, a completed application with references is required. In some cases, an initial TB screening and introductory training may be necessary.
