The Goodwill & HARC Store & Donation Center
Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. and the Herkimer ARC offer area residents an exciting retail shopping destination, one which will offer great values and its own unique mix of desirable merchandise. With similar missions to enhance lives and to empower people through employment and services, the two agencies partnered to open a 7,000 square foot Goodwill & HARC Store & Donation Center in March 2008.
Merchandise includes new and gently used brand-name items including family apparel, vintage and boutique clothing, shoes, books, housewares, antiques and collectables, sporting goods, toys, and more. The new store is located in the Herkimer Commons Mall, 129 East Albany Street in Herkimer, NY. Store hours will be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Goodwill & HARC Store will accept donations of new and gently used items at the Donation Center. Please ask for a tax receipt. Items not accepted include: large appliances, automobile parts of any kind, bed springs, mattresses, sofa or hospital beds, gas powered equipment, household chemicals or paint, or air conditioners. When in doubt, call the Store Manager at (315) 574-7777.
Proceeds from the store fund help employ individuals and fund programs for people with disabilities and others who need services in our community.
