Herkimer ARC Fundraising Events
Annually, HARC organizes three premier events to raise funds.
Life is Beautiful Festival:
The Life is Beautiful Festival is held in July on the grounds of the Herkimer ARC-Goodwill Store and the Career Connections offices, located at 129 East Albany Street in Herkimer. The Festival includes the “Walk in My Shoes” Community Awareness Walk, food, games, live entertainment, and other family-friendly activities. Individuals seek pledges to walk in the Community Awareness Walk. All proceeds benefit unfunded and under-funded programs and services at the Herkimer ARC. Enabler Golf Tournament:
The Enabler Golf Tournament is held annually on the third Monday in May at the Cedar Lake Golf Club in Clayville. Over 100 golfers, including sponsors, play a captain and crew format with all the usual golf course games of skill. A bagged lunch, sit down dinner, beverages on the course, cocktail hour, and prizes for everyone are features of the event. Additionally, the Herkimer ARC sponsors a Major Golf Tournament Tournament Raffle, which includes an all-expense paid trip in April to the a major tournament in Augusta, GA. Heart & Sole Awareness 5K Run:
The Herkimer ARC's Heart & Sole Awareness 5K Run held in September begins and ends at the HARC Business Park, 420 East German Street in Herkimer, NY. New York International Wine Auction (NYIWA):
NYIWA is the premier charitable wine auction event in upstate New York. Since 1996, this event has drawn support from across the United States and abroad. A Silent Auction, and an International Wine Tasting are the prelude to a Live Auction, which takes place during a five-course Gourmet Dinner. The auctions feature for bid fine lifestyle items, dinners, collectibles, trips, and large format bottles and collectible bottles of wine—both domestic and international.
