Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends JPGHARC’s Circle of Friends was established in 2006 to build funds which will provide financial support for unfunded and under-funded programs and services provided by HARC. Each member of the Circle of Friends pledges a minimum of $500 per year for five consecutive years. A member can be an individual, a couple, a family, or a business.

Payments toward pledges may be made annually or in a lump sum. Annual payments are payable by December 31st of each calendar year, commencing the year the initial pledge is made. Payments toward pledges can be made in cash, stock or appreciated property which meets property requirements of the HARC. All pledges may be renewed at the request of the member.

Benefits of membership:

All Circle of Friends gifts will be acknowledged with donors’ permission as follows:

  • Director’s Circle: Gift of $500 per year paid over five years for a total of $2,500. This gift will be recognized with two naming opportunities on separate gold leaves placed on the William H. Privett Giving Tree, located in the lobby of the Administration Building of HARC at 350 South Washington Street in Herkimer.
  • President’s Circle: Gift of $1,000 per year paid over five years for a total of $5,000. This gift will be recognized with naming a 5.5”x3.5” Benefactor Stone under the William H. Privett Giving Tree located in the lobby of the Administration Building of HARC at 350 South Washington Street in Herkimer.
  • Inner Circle: Gift of $2,000 per year paid over five years for a total of $10,000. This gift will be recognized with naming an 11.5”x8” Benefactor Stone under the William H. Privett Giving Tree located in the lobby of the Administration Building of HARC at 350 South Washington Street in Herkimer.
  • Your gift will help the HARC to enable people with disabilities, and others in the community, to achieve full potential and to live enriched lives.
  • As a member you will be complimentarily invited to all Circle of Friends events.
  • As a member you are entitled to VIP status for all HARC events, including the New York International Wine Auction.
  • Also as a member you will be invited to special tours of HARC.

Events of the Circle of Friends:

At least one, but no more than two events are held per year, including:

  • Annual Solicitation Dinner: members of the Circle of Friends gather with individuals who are interested in joining the Circle of Friends. Future members are briefed to the importance and benefits of membership.
  • Annual appreciation events: members are complimentarily invited to the membership appreciation event.
  • Special tours and premium events: members are invited to special tours of HARC and and premium HARC events.
